Project Description

This is a 90,000 square foot conversion to an existing 10-story building in Downtown Los Angeles into a 174-key hotel that includes a basement, ground and roof level restaurants and bars, and a rooftop pool. The scope of work includes demolition of the entire interior down to the structure and construction of an entire new space including full seismic retrofit, new stairwells, freight elevator, and new M/E/P systems. In addition, new construction at the roof that will include a food and beverage venue, pool deck, seating and back-of-house support areas.

Project Description:

This project included a 20-week core and shell construction followed by a 20-week fit-out of a stand-alone store within an overall expansion. The core and shell phase included concrete foundation with structural steel framing, cold formed metal framing, exterior walls, a stone and glass facade, and metal roofing with FRP brow.
